Good evening Mustang families. As a reminder, tomorrow is a Teacher Workday for Martin and the building will be closed to students.
Virtual Family Coffee: We apologize for postponing our October Family Coffee last Friday. We are working to reschedule the session and will have the date picked this week to communicate in next week’s message.
STAR Math: All students will take the STAR Math benchmark assessment on Tuesday during Corral. This benchmark will provide teachers with information that will help support math instruction and help identify areas where additional help may be needed. Please encourage your student to stay focused and do their best.
Congratulations: Congratulations to Ms. Thomas and the Martin Choral Department. Martin had 22 students earn a spot in the NC Honors Chorus and will represent Martin at the NCMEA Convention in Winston Salem next month.
Spirit Week: Spirit Week is just around the corner (October 17-October 21) and the Student Council has held a vote to determine the theme for each day. Start planning those outfits!

8th Grade Band Students: Athens Drive is hosting a Middle School Band Night and you are invited to attend! Band Night is this Friday, October 14th and more information and how to register can be found here.
PSAT: The PSAT will be given on October 12th to Math 2 students who registered for the test. Information was sent at the beginning of the year to all eligible students.
Community Resources: The Salvation Army is holding in-person registration for this year’s Angel Tree program starting on October 10th. More information can be found here.
