I hope you had a restful long weekend. As we return to school on Tuesday, I want to take a moment to thank all veterans for their service and sacrifice. We are looking forward to a great week ahead filled with learning and growth!

It is National School Psychology Awareness Week. We want to recognize our wonderful school psychologist, Ms. Nagy. We are so grateful for the compassionate and expert support Ms. Nagy provides, not only to students, but also to staff and families. She helps ensure that students have the tools, confidence, and support they need to succeed. We encourage you to join us in celebrating the incredible impact she has on our school community this week and every day.

Social Emotional Learning at Carver

Second Step Lesson: Unit 2 Lesson 9

In Second Step Unit 2, Lesson 9, students learn about managing strong emotions in healthy and constructive ways. This lesson focuses on recognizing when emotions are becoming overwhelming and introduces practical strategies for calming down. Through interactive activities, students practice these skills, helping them make better decisions and respond thoughtfully in challenging situations.

• One School One Book: Mr. Popper's Penguins: Everyone can participate, even if you don’t have a book, by visiting https://bit.ly/MrPopper. Please click on the top right “Home” button to find links to chapters read aloud in English and Spanish, questions to engage with your child about what they read or heard, and an activity you can do together each week. Students who turn in the weekly activities to their teacher receive prizes!
