Week of October 28, 2024
Hello Carver Families,
First, I’d like to say thank you to the families who attended Literacy Night. It was truly a pleasure seeing so many families, as we knew we were in competition with the State Fair LOL. Also, thank you for the feedback given via the parent survey. Your involvement means so much to us. We are a TEAM, and together we will ensure the success of our Carver Cubs. We look forward to welcoming our Carver Cubs back to school tomorrow.
Please review the important school updates below:
In recognition of National Physical Therapist Month, we would like to give a big shoutout to our wonderful Physical Therapist, Ms. Kali Boyette!

She earned her Bachelor's in exercise science from UNC Wilmington and her doctorate in physical therapy from East Carolina University. She started working as a physical therapist for Wake Co schools in 2009 and currently serves the local schools in Wendell as well as serves as area lead for the Eastern region, overseeing 5 other therapists and their caseloads. She lives in Wendell with her husband, dog (Max), and two kids who both attend Carver. Decker is in third grade and Grey is in Kindergarten.
Ms. Boyette, thank you for all that you do to support our staff, students and families. We are very grateful to have you as a member of our TEAM.

SEL Spotlight: Honesty
Honesty is a core part of social-emotional learning, helping children build trust, respect, and meaningful relationships. By encouraging honesty, we teach children to take responsibility for their actions, speak truthfully, and make choices aligned with their values. When children are honest, they not only gain confidence but also learn the importance of integrity in their daily lives. Let’s work together to model and praise honesty at home and at school, guiding our kids to be sincere and accountable.
