EVENTS

 

SPIRIT WEEK:  October 21 – 25 there will be special Spirit Week Activities for Bullying Prevention Month. Learn more about how each student can be a hero and Help Everyone Respect Others at Spirit Week

 

WALK & ROLL TO SCHOOL:  Families are invited to meet at Morrisville Community Park on Wednesday at 8:15 AM for this special event. Games and giveaways will occur at the park as participants gather. The walk will begin after 8:35 AM.

 

CURRICULUM:  Teachers have created videos to provide families information regarding the topics and skills students will learn in Quarter 2.  More details at Quarter 2 Curriculum.

 

CLOTHING DRIVE: The U.S.S.S. clothing drive for underwear, socks, sweatpants, and shorts will continue until October 23. Please see the flyer below for details and instructions. Thank you for supporting MES! MES U.S.S.S Clothing Drive 2024-2025

 

MOVIE NIGHT:  The Morrisville PTA is excited to host a Movie Night for families on Friday, October 25. Food trucks and concessions will be available at 6:15 PM.  The movie will begin at 7:00 PM.  Read more at Movie Night

 

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH:  On Saturday, October 26, join us from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Millbrook High School as families throughout the area honor Hispanic culture through student performances that showcase the rich traditions and stories of the Hispanic community.

 

DISABILITY AWARENESS:  October is Disability History & Awareness Month.  This year’s theme is “Unity in Diversity.”  Morrisville Elementary is committed to supporting Disability History & Awareness Month in our school community.

 

STORYBOOK CONTEST: This “Nosevember” Morrisville will hold a special contest for students.  All students are invited to decorate a tissue box like any book character that they love.  Please bring in all entries for the contest to Ms. Minton by Monday, November 4. REMINDERS

  

FIELD TRIPS:  Make field trip payments at School Cash Online. Please consider donating to help students in need participate on field trips.  Individuals willing to support can share online using this link for Field Trip Donations.   Thank you in advance for your generosity and assistance.

TOURS:  Tours for families who will enroll students for the 2025-2026 academic year are now available.  Register online at School Tours Sign Up.  

 

TARDIES:  Families, if you arrive late to school after 9:15 AM please park and come to the front door with your child so you can sign them in to school tardy.  We need an adult present to sign the student in.

 

ABSENCES:  If your child is absent from school, be sure to send a written note to your child’s teacher when they return.  Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and healthy!

PTA NEWS

 

PTA Movie Night:  The Morrisville PTA is excited to host a Movie Night for families on Friday, October 25 with a special viewing of the animated film, The Book of Life.  Food trucks and concessions will be available at 6:15 PM.  The movie will begin at 7:00 PM. 

 

We’re looking for help with movie night on 10/25. Please sign up at Movie Night Volunteers.
