Mustang News for May 23, 2021
We will begin EOG testing this week and will test all students in ELA. Our schedule for the week is as follows:
- Monday 6th grade
- Tuesday 7th grade
- Thursday 8th grade
Wednesday is an asynchronous learning day for all students and Friday is a regular school day.
Our complete testing schedule can be found here. The schedule of classes after testing can be found on the calendar of our school website by clicking on the EOG test for the day.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our Testing Coordinator, Ms. Bonham West, at rwest2@wcpss.net. An FAQ is also available to answer many of your questions..
Media Center Devices: We will not be able to check devices out from the media center for the remainder of the year as these devices have been moved to testing locations in the building. Students should bring their district issued, fully charged Chromebook to school each day.
8th Grade Students: Thank you to everyone who has contributed to making our 8th grade celebration a great send off for our class of '21. As the day approaches, we want to offer one final opportunity to collect donations that will allow us to provide t-shirts, ice cream, and games for our students. In the information linked below you will find a link to contribute as well as RSVP for your student if they have not done so already. Our event is for both Plan A and VA students and even if they will not be attending in person this information is important to make sure they receive a correctly sized t-shirt.
We greatly appreciate everyone who has already contributed and look forward to celebrating the hard work of our 8th grade class on June 10 !
Student Council: Congratulations to the following students on their election to Student Council Office:
Recording Secretary: Ferne Parker-Young
Corresponding Secretary: Lily Odle
Vice President: John Hockaday
President: Call Troutman
All candidates ran spirited, positive campaigns. We look forward to seeing the creativity they brought to their campaigns demonstrated during their 2021/2022 term of office.
Chromebooks and Hot Spots: All hot spots must be returned at the end of the school year. Families are asked to return them at the same time they return other school issued materials and supplies. Students leaving WCPSS at the end of the school year must return their Chromebooks as well. Students who are returning to Martin or any other WCPSS school in the fall can keep their Chromebook.
