The Virtual Academy numbers are in and we are in the process of processing the requests. Initial counts show the number of students at each grade level who have requested a seat in the Martin Virtual Academy. 


6th Grade 165 students

7th Grade 167 students

8th Grade 206 students


The 537 students represent approximately 51% of our student body. Families who applied for the Martin Virtual Academy will receive an email confirmation of placement on Monday. We are adjusting our schedule to accommodate all students in Virtual Academy and in Plan B Transition. 


The first day of school is Monday, August 17th. All students will engage in a period of orientation  that focuses on community building, understanding how to engage in the online platform and materials distribution. A specific schedule will be posted on our website soon. We will host our first Parent Coffee on August 24th at 8am and 4pm. We will discuss in greater detail the learning and teaching schedule starting August 31st. The meeting codes are:

Soon you will receive communication from the PTA. Please take time to review the information contained in the newsletter. Additionally, consider becoming a member of the Martin PTA. We rely on the efforts of the PTA to support all our teachers and the Gifted and Talented program. 


As a reminder, all 7th grade students are required to have a TDAP Booster as well as the Meningococcal Vaccine and Martin is required to have a copy of the vaccination on file. Please send a copy of the proof of vaccine to Ms. Sepulveda at If you are unable to send a copy via email, please plan to drop the hard copy off at school starting August 17th.
