I have 3 adult children (my oldest has autism). I enjoy traveling, the beach, and reading; currently Stephen King. This is my 10th year with WCPSS.I have my AAS in Early Childhood Education (WTCC), BS in Early Childhood Education (UMO),Med in Education(UNC-CH)

I'm thrilled to be part of the special education team at Bowling Road Elementary! With over twenty years of experience, I've had the pleasure of working with preschool-aged children in various capacities.  I have lead self-contained, integrated and general education classrooms within my own program for over 15 years. I pride myself on my ability to create individual learning plans for my students while fostering a supportive classroom  environment where every child can thrive. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education/Visual Arts and a Master’s degree in Special Education, both from Dowling College.
Along with these degrees, I completed my professional certifications in the areas of special education, elementary, education, and visual arts. Recently, I completed my School District Leader Certification from Mercy College. 

 I believe that being a great educator starts with being a great student. I'm passionate about building strong partnerships with families while supporting each child's unique journey. In my free time, I enjoy reading the newest best seller, checking out the latest horror movie and spending time with my children and our dog Holly.
