Mrs. VonDerHeide comes to Barton Pond after working the past five years at Brier Creek Elementary as a literacy coach and K-2 instructional facilitator. She is excited to join Barton Pond Elementary as a first grade teacher! Mrs. VonDerHeide is an experienced educator with 19 years of experience teaching in grades K-2. Mrs. VonDerHeide graduated from East Carolina University with a Master of Arts in Teaching. Mrs. VonDerHeide is a National Board Certified Teacher with a true passion for teaching and learning. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. Mrs. VonDerHeide is looking forward to working with staff, students, and families at Barton Pond!
