Miss Konyak


Miss Konyak is a first year first grade teacher who just recently moved to Raleigh from outside of Pittsburgh, PA. She is a graduate of Kent State University where she earned her bachelor’s in Communications. After graduation, Miss Konyak completed multiple service terms in a school-based AmeriCorps program where she realized she loved the classroom setting. She then received her Master’s of Education through a certification program at Carlow University in Pittsburgh, PA. Miss Konyak’s favorite subject to teach is reading. Her favorite book as a child was The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. In school, she loved the ‘If You Give A Mouse A Cookie’ series by Laura Numeroff. Outside of the classroom, Miss Konyak spends her time reading, hiking, and practicing yoga. She is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Miss Konyak is so excited to be a facilitator of her own classroom and hopes to instill a love for learning in her students.
