Miss Kiggins is a recent graduate of Kent State University, OH where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, this first-year teacher is new to Raleigh, NC. As a child, she loved to write and illustrate her own stories. One of her many favorite books was Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendack. Growing up, she always had a passion to help others so becoming a teacher was natural to her. It was her own kindergarten teacher who inspired her and taught her to love learning. Outside of teaching, some of her interests include hiking, traveling, watching hockey (Go Pens!) and curling up with a book and a cup of coffee in her spare time. Recently, she rescued her dog, Zola, who accompanies her on walks & hikes. Miss Kiggins is delighted to join her fellow teachers at Lynn Road Elementary. She is eager to learn and grow with her students!
