Miss Truland was born and raised in Northern New Jersey with her older brother, mom, and dad.  She knew her whole life that she wanted to be a teacher .  Miss Truland graduated in 2020 from High Point University and decided to stay in North Carolina for the warm weather and amazing people.  When Miss Truland is not teaching, she loves to watch Sixers basketball and Jets football.  She also loves to read, hike, bake, learn, and craft.  Her favorite foods are bananas, donuts, and chocolate.  Miss Truland has two pets.  She has a cat named Penny and a hedgehog named Quill Smith.  Miss Truland is so excited to be teaching first grade at Lynn Road Elementary!
