My name is Lane Ryan and this is my second year at Wendell Elementary. Last year I taught 4th grade and this year I’m excited to be joining the 5th grade team! I currently live in Durham, but I love the Wendell community so much the commute is worth it! I live with my partner Nick and we are expecting a baby boy this February. I enjoy being outside and I’ve had so much fun exploring the greenways by my new apartment. I love True Crime, anime, candy, and my favorite subject is science. Being an educator is a never ending learning process. I learn right along with my students. My philosophy for teaching is to always provide a nurturing learning environment.
