Please note that ALL Tracks will have a makeup day on Saturday, March 1st. 

 

Tracks 1 & 3 will also have a makeup day on Saturday, April 5th.

 

The hours for Saturday are 7:55am - 11:55am. We will serve breakfast and lunch. On Monday, we will send home breakfast/lunch forms for you to complete and return so that we can plan for how many meals we will be serving on March 1st. Please return these to us on Tuesday so that we can plan ahead!

 

Classroom Environments for 2025-2026

We are beginning to think ahead to class assignments for the 2025-2026 school year.  Parents are invited to submit a letter describing the classroom environment that is best for your child.  Please DO NOT use teacher names as there may be movement among our staff. All letters are due to Mrs. Harmon by March 7th. You may email (aharmon@wcpss.net) or drop it off in the office. 

 

Track Change Requests for 2025-2026

Each year, things may present themselves where your family needs to consider your child being on a different track from their current track. If you need to request a track change, please do so by completing THIS FORM.  Paper copies of the track change form were also sent home in Monday folders if you prefer to complete it and return it to school. Please reach out to our data manager Mary Canny at mcanny@wcpss.net or 919.562.6000 with any questions. No track change requests will be accepted after 2/28/2025.  All requests will be reviewed when we begin creating classes for next year and families will be notified of whether or not their request is approved.

 

Single Subject Acceleration Info Session and Nomination Window

Student Ambassadors for 4th & 5th Graders

HES Student Ambassador applications are open for Spring 2025. 4th and 5th grade students may apply through the HES website under the "STUDENTS" tab.  Parents, please discuss these responsibilities with your student as you assist with the process.  Students MUST be signed in to their WakeID to complete the form.
