    HES theme for 2018-19

    The 3Cs (choices, chances, changes)

You need to make a choice to take a chance or your life will never change.

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year...we are so excited!  The first day for students on tracks 1/2/3 is Monday, July 9 (except for Kindergarten students, as they come on their assigned staggered entry day).  Students can enter the building at 7:55 and the late bell is 8:25. Be sure that you have communicated via note with your child’s teacher about how he/she will be getting home from school.  Please do not email the teacher, as he/she may not be able to access the computer until after school hours. Parents are welcome to walk their child(ren) to their classroom(s) on the first day of school, but please remember to sign in at the office for a visitors badge.

Please be prepared for delays (morning and afternoon) for the first few weeks of school, as our new families are learning HES carpool procedures.  Bring plenty of patience, good music and a large cup of coffee, when going through carpool :) Expect delays if your child rides the bus to and from school.  The drivers are learning new routes and new students to their route.

We love volunteers!  If you are a current approved volunteer, your status is active until October 31.  Please be sure to update your information prior to October 31 (This saves the WCPSS $).  If you are an aspiring volunteer, please complete the online registration at HES. You will need your driver's license and previous addresses.

We love to have parents/grandparents/family/friends to join us for lunch; however, we kindly ask that you refrain from coming in for lunch for the first two weeks of school, as we are teaching HES routines and procedures.  The only exception to this is if your child has a birthday during the first two weeks of school.
