It’s hard to believe we are already halfway through September! This month we will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and our students will be reading and learning about cultural traditions, history and influences as well as the contributions of Hispanic-Americans. 

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Go Play Save Fundraiser to support students attending field trips this school year. Your support of our school means the world to us!

 

Kidz Art After School Opportunity

KidzArt North Raleigh is offering after school drawing lessons at HES, starting Oct 8 (Tuesday). Classes meet every Tuesday at 3:15-4:15 pm in the Art Room for K-5th grades students. Students only attend when tracked in. Track 4 students would begin on Oct 22. Each week is a different project and your child will try different art media and bring home a finished artwork that he/she will be proud of each week! Carpool

Please be mindful of students and families walking at the crosswalk near the greenway while waiting in the carpool line. Stay off of phones and keep an eye on your surroundings to keep students, families and staff safe!

 

Walk To School Day

Walk to School Day is on Wednesday, October 9th for Track 1 & 3 families. As the date approaches we will send more detailed information out regarding bus rider arrival and carpool arrival at the Smith Creek Soccer Center. Please be sure to return permission slips if you haven’t done so already.

PTA Membership Drive
