Project Englightment (for parents of children up to age 6)

It's not too late to register for Project Enlightenment's virtual and in-person workshops for parents of young children during the 2023-2024 school year!   We are offering informative workshops, some virtual and some in-person, on a variety of topics that parents with young children birth through six years of age may find useful and helpful.  Meaningful strategies and tools to help you better understand and support your young child will be offered.

Wake Forest MLK Contest

The Wake Forest MLK Committee is hosting their annual MLK Contest. This year marks the 29th anniversary of the WF MLK Celebration program to commemorate  the life and legacy program of Dr. King.

Each year the MLK Committee offers contests for creative writing, creative performance and art for the students in the Wake Forest and Rolesville schools with a different theme each year based on one of Dr. King’s quotes.

The 2024 theme is “Be the peace you wish to see in the world.”  Over the years, we have received some beautiful and creative entries from the students and we look forward to their submissions each year. The contest winners will be recognized on the commemoration program on January 18, 2024 and will receive a monetary award.

Additional information is available the committee’s website:
