School Progress Report

We are proud of all of the hard work our staff and students put in last year.  Please review our most recent 2022-2023 School Progress Report.  We EXCEEDED Growth last year and continue to make positive strides to impact student achievement each day!  

 

Bike Riders

Students riding their bike to and from school must have an adult with them to cross at the crosswalk to help maintain safety.

 

School Attendance

Attendance at school each day is important to help your child succeed.  Unless your child is sick, please help them to arrive at school on time ready to learn.  Please try to schedule appointments outside of the school day whenever possible and trips during track out to help maintain attendance routines.  

 

Tips for positive attendance habits include:

*Having a set bedtime

*Developing routines for the evenings and mornings for homework, backpacks, and getting ready

*Contact our School Counselors or Social Worker if you need support 

 

PTA News

Our GoPlaySave fundraiser is coming to an end. Thank you to all who have purchased books to help support our school. Please get all orders in today. If you have chosen not to purchase a book, please return your book as soon as possible.

 

NEW Spirit Wear for the 23-24 school year is available! Orders opened September 5th and close October 6th.  Orders will be delivered in late October. You can shop HERE.

 

Our next Spirit Day will be September 19th at Jeremiah's Italian Ice. Just mention HES at checkout and 10% of your purchase will go back to our school.

 

It doesn't feel like it outside, but Fall is just around the corner. And the HES Fall Festival will be here before we know it. The festival will be on October 20th from 4:30-7:00. As always, we need your help to make this event a success. We are in need of donations. If you are able to donate, please sign up here Fall Fest Donations

Mark your calendars! One of our favorite Spirit Nights is coming next month. Culver's Spirit Night will be here October 10th!

 

PTA membership is open for the new school year. Visit Join the PTA to become a PTA member for the 2023-2024 school year! All members must rejoin every year. So even if you were a PTA member last year, you will still need to sign up again to become a member for the 2023-2024 school year. We welcome and love volunteers, and appreciate all those willing to take time out of their schedules to attend PTA meetings. However, joining the PTA does not mean you have to volunteer or attend meetings. Joining requires no time commitment. Your membership dues alone help support our school.
