Sunday Night Announcements - Week of February 14th
Hello Wonderful Wendell Families,
Here are the Sunday Night Announcements for the week of February 14th:
New Stuff
No School on Friday or Next Monday
There will be no school for students on Friday, February 18th (WCPSS Teacher Workday) and Monday, February 21st (President's Day Holiday). Students will return to campus on Tuesday, February 22nd.
All Visitors Welcome on Campus
In accordance with updated WCPSS policies, all signage referring to "essential visitors" has been removed from campus... Which means that all are welcome once again!
Please reach out to your child's classroom teacher if you are interested in volunteering on campus... All volunteers will still need to complete the online registration form, which can be accessed at any WCPSS school site.
Update: Families will not be permitted to eat lunch on campus here at WES for the remainder of this school year. Please contact Mr. Zellmer with any questions/concerns.
Friendly Reminders
Title One Funding and Meal Benefits
Please help WES continue to receive our Title One funding in 2022-2023 by completing a meal benefits application online at MySchoolApps.com. Paper applications can be requested by calling 919-588-3535.
As of this message, we are still 19 applications short of our funding threshold... Tell a friend, because WES really needs to maintain that funding!
2021-2022 Yearbooks
Yearbooks are now on sale! WES families can purchase yearbooks for $20 by visiting strawbridge.net and clicking "order pictures and yearbooks". From there, just enter your name and email and click "Access Yearbook." Our school code is YB101443.
The deadline to order books at the $20 cost is February 28th... They will be $24 beginning on March 1st. Please see this electronic flyer for all of the information.
Give Kids a Smile
Please see this flyer for information on a free oral health education event happening on Saturday, February 19th.
