Thanks to everyone who came out and ran and cheered on the runners on Friday! Runners Marathon stickers are coming home next week! A special thank you to the following people:
  • Our P.E. teacher, Coach Brown, for organizing this year's event
  • Our special area teachers for leading the way on the day of the event
  • Our amazing D.J., Neil Thomas, for the sound
  • Our supportive PTA
  • Our staff for all their support
  • Our students for showing such great sportsmanship and spirit
  • Our families for participating, cheering on our students, and being patient to allow for a safe dismissal
 
 

March Spirit Night!

Join us at Fratelli's Delicatessen in Sweetwater tomorrow night, Monday, March 24th, for our March Spirit Night. Show this flyer [below] and they will donate 10% of your bill to Scotts Ridge Elementary PTA! Hope to see you there.

Sailor Fun Friday

March 28

 
Central North Carolina is known for several things, but one of the greatest may be how passionate we are about our college basketball. In that spirit, our Sailor Fun Friday is March Madness and College Spirit. Students are encouraged to wear a jersey (any sport!), their favorite college team shirt, or even school colors! There are many ways to participate this Friday; we cannot wait to see all the school spirit!
 
 
 

 

Spring Break 2025

March 31 - April 4

 

We hope that all of our Sailors have a wonderful and relaxing spring break. Students will not have school for one week from Monday, March 31st to Friday, April 4th.

 

 

Regular School Day

April 7

 

This is just a reminder that Monday, April 7 (the Monday right after Spring Break) is now a regular instructional day; students will report to school. Old WCPSS calendars will show that it is a teacher workday, but the district is now using it as a weather make-up day. See you then, Sailors!

 

 

Appreciation Days

 

When students return to school in April, it will be Occupational Therapist Appreciation Month. If you see our amazing OT, Ms. Kirkpatrick, be sure to tell her, "Thank you!" Additionally, it will be National Assistant Principal Appreciation Week. Help us in thanking the best AP ever, Mrs. Griffin, for making SRE such a wonderful place!

2024-2025 Yearbook Sales

by April 15

 
The first deadline has passed, but it's not too late! The final yearbook purchase deadline is Tuesday, April 15th. Purchased yearbooks will be distributed in May 2025.
 
Please note that while school portraits are through Lifetouch, yearbooks will still be purchased through Strawbridge. Yearbooks can be purchased online only at www.strawbridge.net using the online code: YB31508.

Spring Picture Day

April 16

 

Our Spring Picture Day makeup is now Wednesday, April 16th. We still need volunteers to help the photographers and teachers and keep the day running smoothly, please join us if you are interested: Spring Picture Day Volunteer.

 

All original orders for Spring Pictures or the Class Photo made online will be credited to the new spring picture day.
 
Families, you can also send in the original order forms that were sent home. If you are in need of a new form, they can be accessed here:
