Welcome Back, Sailors!

Happy New Year, everyone! We hope that all of you had a fun and restful winter break; we are excited to have all of our students back on campus on Monday, January 6.

Sailor Fun Friday - January 10

This month’s Sailor Fun Friday is coming up at the end of this week! The theme for this Friday is Hibernation Day. Students are invited to bring one small stuffie (stuffed toy) with them to class for the day. Thank you again to our student council for collaborating on our themed days!

Update from Lucky Elephant Yoga

Registration for the next session with Kids Yoga Registration is open! This session will run between January and February. Space is limited. Please see the information below:

When: Wednesdays, January 15 - February 26
Time: 4:00 - 5:00 PM
Where: Media Center
Pickup: Bus Loop, Outside the Media Center

Students should wear comfortable clothing, bring a snack and a water bottle, and be ready for joy!

Through yoga, children work on body awareness, balance, proprioception, imagination, self-esteem, and many more benefits which help them navigate life with more ease. Kids Yoga at Scotts Ridge will be a place for play, exploration, and fun! We will use games, songs, yoga poses, and our imaginations to bring more awareness and joy to the lives of our students.

School Assignment Slips

School assignment slips went home on Friday, December 20 in each student's red take-home folders. They were printed on bright yellow paper. Please look at these forms, check them for accuracy, and contact Mrs. Alvarez if you have any questions.

International Night

Save the date for Thursday, March 13 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. The International Night committee is looking for families that would be interested in sharing about their culture during this event. If you are interested, please click here to complete the survey. A QR code was also sent home in your child’s take-home folder before break. For those that complete the survey, a grade-level representative will reach out in January to share more information.
