Spring Break

Spring Break is March 25-29. The school office will be closed. Please reach out to us when we return on April 1st. Enjoy this time with your families!

 

Single Subject Acceleration Information

If you are interested in learning more about Single Subject Acceleration (SSA), please click here. Single subject acceleration is taking either math or reading (English Language Arts) at the next grade level while continuing to work at the current grade level for all other subjects. There is a specific process to qualify that includes testing. If you have any questions after reading through the linked slide presentation, please contact our AIG teacher, Mrs. Costa, at mcosta2@wcpss.net. 

 

Bluegrass Concert/Assembly

A huge thank you to Mrs. Rieg and the PTA for organizing our K-2 and 3-5 bluegrass concerts with Charles Pettee. We learned about the history of bluegrass and enjoyed a great concert! 

 

Assistant Principal Appreciation Week, April 1st-5th

Please join us in celebrating our incredible assistant principal, Mrs. Griffin. We are so fortunate to have an assistant principal with her experience, talents, character, and kindness.

 

Safety Reminder

We have seen an increase in parents dropping off their children along Apex Barbecue Road - on both sides of the road. Students dropped off this way have sometimes demonstrated some unsafe behaviors. This is very dangerous, and we do not want to see any children get hurt. For students' safety, only students walking from home are allowed to walk to school. Thank you!

Save the Date for Spring Fling!

Save the date for this year's Spring Fling: April 18 from 5:30-7:30. The rain date is April 25.
 

Raffle Baskets

Be on the lookout for information soon for your class basket theme. The raffle is always a fun time at Spring Fling! Your contributions are greatly appreciated and all proceeds go back to SRE!
 

Silent Auction

We are continuing to collect donations for our spring silent auction. Do you own a local business (or know someone who does)? Do you own a vacation rental and would be willing to donate a few nights? Do you have a contact in a local university athletic department who can assist with a donation? If so, we would love to hear from you. All donations are tax deductible. Please send an email to vp2@scottsridgepta.com.
