3/16/25: The Cardinal Connection
Good Afternoon Pleasant Plains Elementary Families,
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the spring weather! Hiring a dedicated, high-quality staff remains a primary focus of my work, and I am thrilled about the incredible educators joining our school community. Each of them is kind, passionate about teaching and children, and deeply committed to the success of all students.
I am also eagerly anticipating the announcement of our Assistant Principal at the next Board of Education meeting on March 18th. I look forward to introducing them via Cardinal Connection soon!
Facilities report that construction is progressing on schedule, with a potential completion date as early as June 1st. The abundant windows and collaborative spaces make our school truly beautiful and state-of-the-art. I can't wait to welcome you all into the space once we receive occupancy.
Looking ahead, we are in the planning stages for several exciting events, including our inaugural PTA meeting, where we will elect our very first PTA board, the launch of an online school spirit store, staff "get to know you" events and planning meetings, and a family and staff picnic in June.
I appreciate your ongoing support and enthusiasm as we continue building a strong and vibrant school community!
