Charter PTA Meeting

The Wake PTA will be facilitating the charter meeting of our PTA.  We will be voting on PTA leadership positions.  We will also be approving the by laws under the umbrella of the NC PTA. At the end of this meeting, we will have a PTA!  Please remember to bring $10 to join the PTA. The nominating committee of Woods Creek PTA presents the following slate of officers for election:

Parent Resources

Student supply lists have been posted to the school website. Parents are encouraged to bring student supplies to our open house events on July 3rd and July 26th.   We have also included the student parent handbook for families to review at their leisure.   We will continue to add information, such as bus routes, as it becomes available.   https://bit.ly/WCESParentResources

Check Your Transportation Status

View your student’s 2024-25 Transportation status via your student’s Homebase/Powerschool account. More information on Home Base is available at www.wcpss.net/student-information.  

Your student’s AM and/or PM transportation codes will display “Y” (yes) or “N” (no) for the 2024-25 school year until routes are posted. Routes usually are posted about 10 days before the start of the school year. 

• If your student’s code is “Y” and your student will be using transportation next school year, no action is required. 
• If your student’s code is “N” and you would like for your student to use transportation next school year, please submit a transportation request. 
• If your student’s code is “Y” and your student will not be using transportation next school year, please submit the decline bus form at www.wcpss.net/declinebus.

Transportation Request Deadlines

If you are not currently registered for transportation but would like service next school year, you must request transportation by May 29th to ensure service on the first day. Please only request service if you plan for your student to be a regular rider. Students who don’t ride consistently will be removed from bus rosters. To register, go to www.wcpss.net/busrider.

Before/After School

The Kraft Family YMCA is excited to offer Before and After School programs on-site at Woods Creek Elementary school.  The school programs include a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, active games, plenty of outside time, character development, and positive role models.

Track Assignments

If you are unsatisfied with your child's track assignment, please contact our data manager Mrs. Eichvalds at reichvalds@wcpss.net.    We review the waitlist weekly as there may be opportunities to shift tracks as registration continues.   We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding around this difficult process.

Please direct all enrollment questions to your current school.  If you have a rising Kindergarten student, please direct questions to the school where you registered.  For any questions about transfers or assignment, please contact the WCPSS Office of Student Assignment.
