Tuesday, November 5 is a teacher workday. There will be no school for students.

When: November 18 - 22
Family Night: Thursday, November 21 from 4:15 PM, right up until 30 minutes after our Treasure Our Talent show!

We’ll review sub-committees, upcoming tasks, and timelines. Are you interested in leading a committee? Let us know before or during the meeting! Each role has a detailed checklist to guide you.

November Holidays

We will celebrate Veterans Day on Monday, November 11th and Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 27th through November 29th. There will be no school for students and staff.

 

3rd Grade Gifted Testing

Did you know that all 3rd grade students in WCPSS are given a gifted screener called the Cognitive Abilities Test? They have 3 practice sessions with the AIG teacher where they will learn to solve word analogies, number puzzles, and nonverbal puzzles.  The screener test is scheduled for November 4th, 7th, and 8th starting at 9:30 AM. You can also email the AIG teacher Jessie Hollinger with any questions. (jhollinger@wcpss.net

 

November is American Indian Heritage Month

November is National American Indian Heritage Month, which celebrates the contributions of American Indians and urges the people of the United States to learn more about American Indian cultures.

 

Quarter One Awards Ceremonies

We are excited to recognize students during our Quarter One Awards Ceremonies! Students will be spotlighted for demonstrating our CARES/APLA characteristics (Responsive Classroom) as well as for Perfect Attendance. Students will receive four tickets for their scheduled ceremony. Our limited seating in the gym allows for only guests of students being recognized to attend. All guests should enter and exit through the gym.
