You're Invited – S.T.E.A.M. Night 2025 at Parkside!
Calling all Sandpipers! We’re thrilled to invite you to S.T.E.A.M. Night 2025 at Parkside Elementary!
Join us Tuesday, March 25 from 5:00-7:00 for an evening filled with: A student Science Fair, an amazing Art Show, and Hands-on experiments. There will be fun, learning, and prizes for the whole family! This year features larger spaces and brand-new experiments—plus a special visit from KELVIN, the NC SciFest Spokesbot!
This exciting event is proudly supported by Duke Energy, NC SciFest, the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, and our very own Parkside PTA. We can’t wait to see you there as we explore the worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math—together!
Join Us for Beautification Day – March 29th!
Let’s come together to make our campus shine! We invite you and your family to join us for Parkside’s Beautification Day on Saturday, March 29th from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM. During this special event, we’ll be working together to create Parkside’s inaugural Kindness Garden and clean up and beautify our school grounds. During the event families will have the opportunity to help us create a kindness rock garden where participants can write kind words and decorate them for the garden.
Please remember:
This is a family activity – not a drop-off event
Wear clothes that are appropriate for working outdoors and using Sharpies
Let’s show our Piper Pride and make Parkside even more beautiful—together!

As we plan ahead for the 2025-2026 school year, we want to collect PES parent input on the social media platforms that are most important to you. We love to highlight special events and celebrations happening at Parkside as well as important reminders for all families, but we need to make decisions about the social media platforms we will use in the new year. Saturday Makeup Days
Our next snow makeup day for students and staff on Tracks 1 and 3 only will be Saturday, April 5, 2025.
Kindergarten Registration for the 25-26 School Year is Now Open

Spirit Rock
This school year the PTA is offering families the opportunity to paint our Spirit Rock! For $25 you can paint a birthday message to your child, congratulations on an achievement, good luck on a sporting event - anything you can think of. Payment is due at time of reservation.
