Welcome back to track 2 families. It will be track 2 and 4’s turn to celebrate literacy this week! We are so excited to partner with our Parkside PTA to host Literacy Night in conjunction with the Bookfair Family Night. We hope to see all of our track 2 and 4 families this Thursday.

Track 2 and 4 Literacy Night - Reading is so SWEET! And Family Bookfair Night is This Week!
This year, we’re excited to host Literacy Night in conjunction with the PTA Bookfair Family Nights! Be sure to mark your calendars: Literacy Night for tracks 2 and 4 on September 12.
Join us between 5:00 and 5:30 for floating literacy activities with our specialists and support staff. Enjoy raffles, games, and book giveaways! At 5:30, we'll begin our first classroom sessions, where you'll learn about your child's beginning-of-year reading data and how you can support their reading journey at home. Afterward, be sure to stop by the bookfair to purchase books and support the PTA!
We look forward to empowering our families with valuable insights into your child's reading progress and sharing strategies to support their ongoing growth at home.
September is Attendance Awareness Month
September is Attendance Awareness Month and we need your support to help our students understand the importance of being at school every day!
Spirit Week (September 23-27):
We’ll be celebrating with fun daily themes to encourage attendance:
- Monday: Pajama Day – "Dream Big, Show Up!"
- Tuesday: Team Up Tuesday – "Win with Attendance!"
- Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday – "Attend in a Wacky Way!"
- Thursday: Throwback Thursday – "Good Attendance Never Goes Out of Style!"
- Friday: Future Friday – "Be Present Today for a Bright Tomorrow!"
Attendance Competition:
Grade levels will compete to have the best attendance percentage during Spirit Week. The winning grade level will earn a prize, and the top class overall will receive a Superstar Attendance Trophy and a grade level celebration!
How You Can Help:
- Ensure your child gets enough rest and arrives at school on time.
- Schedule appointments outside school hours when possible.
- Encourage your child to participate in our fun Spirit Week activities!

Spirit Rock
This school year the PTA is offering families the opportunity to paint our Spirit Rock! For $25 you can paint a birthday message to your child, congratulations on an achievement, good luck on a sporting event - anything you can think of. Payment is due at time of reservation.
