Good morning Parkside Families! Thursday is Track 3’s Track out day and Track 4 returns next Monday!
April 19th is Data Manager Appreciation Day
On April 19th we celebrate Mrs. Cox-Jones for the amazing work she does as Parkside’s data manager. Since their duties include helping parents learn about registration and enrollment procedures, a school's data manager is likely one of the first school office staff members that a new family meets. Their job description is extremely varied, including tasks such as enrollment, making schedules, medication administration, running attendance, student information system expert, and so much more! When they aren't taking care of their primary duties, they serve as extra support for the front office when someone is out or too busy.
April 21, 2023 - Teacher PD Day
Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, April 21st. It is a teacher Professional Development Day.
April 24, 2023 - School only for Track 4
It sounds crazy, but Monday, April 24th is a student day for Track 4 only. Only Track 4 students and staff will be in the building that day. Tracks 1, 2, and 3 students will not have school on this day.
Panorama Family Survey
Helping students do their best in school requires a team effort. Parents, students, and schools all play important roles in this process. Help us make your child's school experience as positive and beneficial as possible by giving honest, thoughtful responses to the questions in the WCPSS Family Survey. The WCPSS Family Survey will be open from April 10 - May 12, 2023. We would like to have 100% of our families contribute to shine a light on Parkside and how our parents care about their education.

Change in Parent Communication via SchoolMessenger
Change in parent communications via SchoolMessenger
To ensure all families receive emergency communications, beginning April 13 families who have not yet opted in to receive text messages from SchoolMessenger will be opted in automatically. This is a change from our current practice where parents had to opt-in to receive text messages. This does not affect families who have opted out of receiving text messages or to families who were already receiving text messages.
School Calendars Approved
School Calendars were approved at last week’s school board meeting. Please note there are no early release days built into next year’s calendar.
