Mrs. Chanteal Alston

I am Chanteal Reynolds Alston.  I graduated with a Bachelor's in Art Education K-12 from Elizabeth City State University. I later went on to pursue a Master's of School Administration and Curriculum and Instruction from East Carolina University. I have been in education for 22 years and have proudly served as a classroom teacher, Instructional Facilitator, intervention teacher, math coach, and art teacher.  Prior to becoming a "Rocket", I had the privilege to serve the students, staff, families, and community of Walnut Creek for five years as Assistant Principal.
I believe that learning never ends and that collaboration and problem-solving create the opportunity for rich dialogue and opens each person to new perspectives and growth opportunities.  I value the voice of students and their perspectives. My motivation is to do what is best for all children and to make sure that they become confident and courageous enough to think independently. I am honored to be a part of the Rogers Lane community.
