    Good Afternoon, Lion Families,

    It was a pleasure to see many of you at Meet the Teacher yesterday! We are excited to welcome our little ones back on Monday for the first day of school! To ensure we have an efficient first day, please review the information below and let me know if you have any questions.

    1. Walking Students to Class
      • ​​​For the first week of school, parents are permitted to walk their child to class. After the first week, please plan to drop your child off at the door. If you are walking your child to class the first week, you must park and sign in at the main office. 
    2. Carpool Tags
      • If you plan on picking up your child in the afternoon carpool line between 3:00-3:30 PM, and you need a carpool tag, please complete the form at THIS LINK. We will either give you the tag in the carpool line or send it home with your child. If you have multiple children, please list the information for each child on this form. 
    3. SRES Family Handbook
      • ​​​Please take some time to review the detailed school policies and procedures outlined in our handbook at THIS LINK. This handbook includes important information about arrival and dismissal, including carpool. 
    4. Staggered Entry for Kindergartners 
      • What is Staggered Entry for Kindergartners? 
        • Staggered entry occurs during the first week of school from August 25th - August 27th. During the first week of school, from Monday to Wednesday, your child will attend one full day of school in a small group environment. You will choose which day your child will attend during this time. Kindergartners will not attend school on Thursday, August 28th or Friday, August 29th. They will attend school every day starting Tuesday, September 2nd. 
      • How do I Sign Up for My Child's Staggered Entry Day?  
        • You can click THIS LINK to sign your child up for their staggered entry day.
        • If you have more than one child in kindergarten, please specify that by choosing the appropriate "quantity" when you sign up. You can list all names in the "student name" section.​​​​​​
    5. Bus Transportation
      • Here Comes the Bus: Please download the app HERE to be able to view where the bus is each day.

    7. Purchasing School Uniforms
      • At SRES, all students will wear school uniforms Monday through Thursday. On Free Expression Friday, students may wear outfits of their choice as long as all clothing is in alignment with the WCPSS dress code.
