Gifted and Talented
The Gifted & Talented program is rooted in the belief that every student has gifts and talents to be valued and nurtured. Students explore a wide variety of subjects that develop strengths and interests.  
 
Unique Offerings
Fencing, Genetics, Swing Dance, Debate, Jazz Band, and Robotics are just some of our unique offerings.

Announcements

  • Talent Show Results:  Thank you to all of our students that auditioned for this year's Talent Show.  Attached is the list of final performers for Ligonfest on June 7.

  • 8th Grade Awards and Promotion Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 9 at 9:00 a.m. in the Auditorium.  Doors will open at 8:15 am for guests.  Seating is limited to two (2) guests per student.  You must have a ticket in order to attend.  Additional guests are invited to view the ceremony in an overflow area.  Please see the attached letter for additional information.

  • National Junior Honor Society:  Rising 7th and 8th graders, NJHS Applications are now available online or in the main office.  Applications and a copy of your most recent report card are to to Ms. Laffey no later than June 2nd!

  • Fall Art Club Application:  Are you interested in joining Ligon's Art Club for the 2017-2018 school year? Applications are due to Ms. Mackie or Mrs. Armstrong by Friday, September 1.

  • Backpack Buddies:  

    Please remember to support our schoolwide mission for Backpack Buddies.  This program is the base for Salvation Army and Raleigh Rescue Mission.  If you would like to donate to Ligon's Backpack Buddy program please visit the following link:  http://foodshuttle-2777.wedid.it/
