Students on Tracks 1 & 3 have one final make-up school session on April 1st due to inclement weather in January. Bus pick-up times will follow the regular weekday morning schedule. The instructional day will be 3.5 hours, with a dismissal time of 12:45. Breakfast and lunch will not be served, but students may bring snacks to school. Please send a note if your child's transportation will be different from usual. There will be Before School Care, starting at 7:00 AM, provided for those already enrolled in this program.
HELP! If you are a 2016-17 registered WCPSS volunteer, we need YOUR help whenever you are available between Feb 27-March 2 to assist our PTA sponsored Batik Artist in Residence, who will be working with our fourth graders. Please click here to sign up for one (or several) time slots. We want all of our fourth grade students to have a great art experience but need volunteers to make this possible. (You do NOT have to be a 4th gr parent to volunteer or be artistically talented. A smile, a set of hands and time are all that is required.) ALSO...used, men's sized t-shirts are needed to help protect the students' clothing during this fun, but messy, art adventure. There is a box outside the art room where t-shirts can be donated. Thank you! Let the creativity begin!!
Spaces are going fast for this March 4 event for high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors with disabilities and their parents.
All Call: 2/07/2017
Good evening, this is Mrs. Short from Ballentine Elementary with one more plea for used men’s t-shirts & volunteers for an upcoming PTA sponsored art project. Students can put donated shirts in the box in front of the art room. We also need about 22 volunteers to help the Artist in Residence with this upcoming art project, which will be taking place February 27th-March 3rd. There is a sign up link on our school’s webpage where WCPSS approved volunteers can sign up to participate in this program. Please check your closets for used t-shirts and your calendar for available volunteer time. We really need our school community’s help to make this a success! Thank you, & have a great evening!
