  • Volunteers & used t-shirts needed & appreciated

HELP! If you are a 2016-17 registered WCPSS volunteer, we need YOUR help whenever you are available between Feb 27-March 2 to assist our PTA sponsored Batik Artist in Residence, who will be working with our fourth graders.  Please click  to sign up for one (or several) time slots. We want all of our fourth grade students to have a great art experience but need volunteers to make this possible.  (You do NOT have to be a 4th gr parent to volunteer or be artistically talented.  A smile, a set of hands and time are all that is required.)  ALSO...used, men's sized t-shirts are needed to help protect the students' clothing during this fun, but messy, art adventure.  There is a box outside the art room where t-shirts can be donated.  Thank you!  Let the creativity begin!!

    Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration has begun for the 2017-2018 school year (for children who will turn 5 years of age on or before August 31, 2017).  While you may register later, earlier is better, because the sooner we know how many children are coming, the better we can prepare.  Click here for a list of needed documents to bring when registering your child.  After January 5th, the office staff is happy to help you register from 9:30-2:30, Monday through Thursday :)

  • All Call:  2/07/2017

Good evening, this is Mrs. Short from Ballentine Elementary with one more plea for used men’s t-shirts & volunteers for an upcoming PTA sponsored art project.  Students can put donated shirts in the box in front of the art room. We also need about 22 volunteers to help the Artist in Residence with this upcoming art project, which will be taking place February 27th-March 3rd.  There is a sign up link on our school’s webpage where WCPSS approved volunteers can sign up to participate in this program.  Please check your closets for used t-shirts and your calendar for available volunteer time.  We really need our school community’s help to make this a success!  Thank you, & have a great evening!

  • All Call:  2/3/2017

Happy Friday, Ballentine Elementary!  This is Mrs. Short calling to remind our families that NOW is the time to order your child’s yearbook.  All orders are due by February 24th.  $16 dollars is a great price for a lifetime of memories, AND we even have a link on our school’s website where you can order your yearbook online from the comfort of your home.  Yes, our kids grow up and memories fade, but a yearbook can be forever J  While we have you on the phone, we really need used men’s t-shirts for our 4th grade students to wear during a PTA sponsored art event.  As parents, we know creating great art can be very messy!  If you can donate used t-shirts, please have your child put them in the box outside the art room.  As always, thank you for your support of our school!
