  • Ballentine Reading-Raiser

Ballentine Elementary will be running a 2015 Reading Raiser from Nov 12, 2015 to Nov 30, 2015.  A Reading-Raiser is like a jog-a-thon for the mind, where students will read books and earn pledges. Our school will keep 80% of funds raised.  Students will have accounts online at where they will log their reading and invite sponsors. Paper materials are available for students without internet access at home.  We are really excited to promote reading and help encourage our children to discover new interests and passions through books!

  • All Call, 11/30/2015

Monday evening hellos to you from Ballentine Elementary!  This is Mrs. Short, and I wanted to remind you that TONIGHT is the last night you can log reading hours for the Read-a-Thon.  We need 15,000 more minutes logged if you want to see me get slimed this week, so get busy.  Again, pledge money and reading logs need to be turned in this week, so we know how much money has been raised and if it will be slime time.  While I have your attention, please join us tomorrow at school at 6 for the Polar Express and on Thursday at 6 in downtown Fuquay to hear our fifth grade chorus sing at the annual Fuquay Varina tree lighting ceremony. Our fifth graders are the second group to perform, so don’t be late or you will miss them. Finally, Track 1 families, please remember that you track out on Friday, and we send you into trackout with the best of holiday wishes!  Thank you everyone, and we look forward to seeing YOU this week!
