  • Ballentine Reading-Raiser

Ballentine Elementary will be running a 2015 Reading Raiser from Nov 12, 2015 to Nov 30, 2015.  A Reading-Raiser is like a jog-a-thon for the mind, where students will read books and earn pledges. Our school will keep 80% of funds raised.  Students will have accounts online at where they will log their reading and invite sponsors. Paper materials are available for students without internet access at home.  We are really excited to promote reading and help encourage our children to discover new interests and passions through books!

  • ALL CALL:  November 23, 2015

Good evening, this is Ms. Frazzle, oops—uh, Mrs. Short, with a few reminders from Ballentine Elementary.  First, please remember there is NO school this Wednesday, so we hope you enjoy time with your family this week.  We will see everyone when they return on Monday.  While you are home, please remember to read and collect your pledge money for the Read-a-thon because the pledges need to be turned in next week to our PTA.  Don’t forget, Ms. Frazzle told you that if we meet our reading goal of raising $15,000, I will be slimed.  AND if we raise over $15,000, then Mr. Hackmann also gets slimed.  Woohoo! Finally, mark your calendars for next Tuesday, December 1st, at 6:00 when our kindergarten students will be performing our traditional Polar Express show.  Grab your PJs and join us next Tuesday night!  Finally, we want to let you know how very thankful we are to have your family in our school community.  Happy Holiday!

Happy Holiday!
