  • Wake County Public School System will provide a relevant and engaging education and will graduate students who are collaborative, creative, effective communicators and critical thinkers.


    Through best practices, a shared vision, a culture of continuous improvement and exposure to the fields of health and sciences, students will graduate with a high school diploma and have the opportunity to earn an associate degree, health sciences diploma, or certificate from Wake Technical Community College.

    The calendar for WECHS for 2017-18 has been approved.  See here!


    We will no longer order breakfast and lunch in the mornings.  Child Nutrition will offer a select number of offerings each day to WECHS students.  The menus are posted in the classrooms or you may look online to see the daily choices.  Here is the menu for May.



    Wednesday, May 24th - Friday, May 26th, 2017.

    Please note, Friday is an exam day!  Students are excused at the conclusion of exams with a note or parental pickup.  They cannot be picked up until the exam session ends.  No exceptions~

    Wednesday, May 24th

    All 10th graders will be taking the ENG EOC.  The exam is from 7:25 - 11:25.  9th graders do not have school.   Buses run at regular time however, students may leave with appropriate note or parent pick up at the conclusion of the exam at 11:25.


    Thursday, May 25th

    7:25 -10:25:  English 9 and Civics

    11:10-2:10:   Chemistry/Health Science/Health Team Relations/Prin of Human Inheritance

    Friday, May 26th

    7:25 - 10:25:  All students taking Math (excluding College Math) will take the State exam

    11:10 - 2:10:  Spanish
