Open House for rising 9th graders interested in WECHS for the 2017-18 school year is November 15th at 6:30 p.m. No sign up is needed! We currently have NO slots for rising 10th graders.
Retake and Make up Fall Pictures will be taken Monday, October 24th on both campuses. Order forms are outside the office. Senior Tux/Drape make up photos will be taken on Northern Campus only! There is a $15 sitting fee for seniors if they would like to receive a copy of the proofs and plan to order photos. If they are only selecting their proof online for the yearbook and not purchasing photos, there is no sitting fee.
The dates for the NCDAP college placement tests are November 1-3rd, 2016. There are two testing groups per day and each sophomore will test for both Math and English on two separate days. Students please check your test dates on the mint green rosters hung up in the classroom hallway. Contact Mrs. Rodems if you have any questions.
There will be an NCDAP English review session with Ms. Eagle and Ms. Christensen on Tuesday, October 25th from 2:15 - 3:15 p.m. Sign ups are on the door of Room 221.
World Cultures Club will meed on Tuesday, October 25th in Mrs. Piner's room. The country is Japan. Don't forget to sign up to bring something.

HOSA is kicking off a toothbrush drive for the Poe Center for Health Education. Please bring in new toothbrushes to Mrs. Hill’s room. If you bring in 3 toothbrushes, you will be entered into a drawing to win 2 free movie passes. We are competing against other HOSA Chapters to collect the most toothbrushes. The winning school will be featured on the Poe Center website and newsletter. See Mrs. Hill with questions.
Ready to start holiday shopping? Please join us on Saturday, November 5th from 6-10 am for a private shopping experience at the annual Belk Charity Sale at Belk Crabtree. Tickets are $5 each and are available in the Guidance office. WECHS PTSA will be working at Belk, so come and say hello! We hope to see you there!
