    Girl’s Track and Field Team – Fantastic State Championship Performance!

    Congratulations to the girl’s track and field team on their excellent performances at the state championships on Saturday! The girls placed 2nd in the state as a team. Cary High had 10 girls earn All-State honors: LeAsia Pringle, Olivia Goodwin, Susie Ngwe, Desi Rowell, Mimi Warner, Charminiqu Hackney, Layla White, Julia Brown, Sarah Hoffert, and Sarah Venable. The relay team of Julia Brown, Sarah Hoffert, Sarah Venable and Mimi Warner placed 1st and ran the 7th fastest time in the nation!! Wait – there’s more! The girls also broke 4 school records! Great Job, ladies!!!

    The yearbooks are here and they are spectacular! We'll be distributing them on the Friday, the 22nd. If you've not bought yours, go to or bring $75 to Mrs. Sutton in room 1018. The price will go up to $80 on the 22nd, so buy yours soon! Show your school spirit and purchase this wonderful record of this year’s events!

  • Donations needed for The Diaper Train

    The Diaper Train provides diapers and other supplies to low-income families in Wake County, improving the lives of babies and toddlers. The program is run by volunteers and serves 1,000 children each month. You can help! Your donations of diapers, baby wipes, and used children’s books will go to families in need in our community. Just bring your donations to room 204 or the main office by June 1st

  • Thursday, May 28, 2015 - Spring Band Concert

    The Fine Arts Department proudly presents the Spring Band Concert Thursday, May 28, at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Please come for an enjoyable evening filled with music featuring our CHS Bands. Admission is free.

    Friday, May 29, 2015 Pigfest and Spring Scrimmage at the CHS Football Stadium

    Please support the Cary High Football team on Friday, May 29, and purchase a BBQ plate at the team's first annual PigFest! The team will have spring practice May 18-29 and end the week with a team scrimmage on May 29 at 6pm. This is a great time to meet our new football coaches and see the team in action! BBQ plates cost $8 and will include bbq, slaw, baked beans, roll, dessert and a drink. Tickets will not be pre-sold so come early to guarantee a delicious dinner from 4:00 - 6:30pm

    Seniors must pay their Senior Dues ($20) by June 5.  Dues can be paid in the main office (cash or check made out to Cary High School) before and after school or during SMART Lunch.  You can also pay online (select "Parents" then "Online Payments" above).

Imps in the News

 Congratulations to the Cary High School Marching Band!!

The Band will be representing  Cary High School and the state of North Carolina in the 2016 Macy’s Day Parade in New York City.    Out of 175 applicants Cary High School Marching Band was selected to be one of ten marching bands to perform in this iconic event.  More details to follow, stay tuned…



 Cary Prostart Headed to Disneyland
Young chefs from Cary HS will represent NC at national culinary championship at the Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim, CA.

 Got Magic? 
Congratulations to Dylan Donegan (senior)....he won the national Magic Card Tournament in December (see news clip below), and he was flown to Brussels, Belgium this week for the international tournament! Dylan is the youngest person ever to win the national tournament. 

 Cary's Fulbright Scholar
Congratulations to Safiyah Ismail, CHS 2011 graduate. She is a senior and Morehead-Cain Scholar at UNC-Chapel Hill. She was just named a Fulbright Scholar! Only two UNC students were selected for this honor this year.
