    THE Cary High School

I would like to welcome you to Cary High School, where we value Tradition, Honor, and Excellence.  We were the first public school in North Carolina and we take pride in celebrating our long history of graduating highly successful students and citizens.  Our school culture demands focus, curiosity, engagement, and hard work.  We believe that our school has a responsibility to support its community by serving others.  Cary High School provides many specialty programs that allow students to explore and hone their talents and interests, from performing on stage to excelling on the field.  We hope that you will find our website useful in learning about us and all of the wonderful opportunities awaiting you on our campus.

  • This Thursday...

Glendon Finley and Jacob Hujar will be speaking to the State Board of Education with SONC’s CEO, Keith Fishburne. Both Jacob and Glendon have been involved with the Special Olympics efforts at Cary High School (Glendon is a student of Jenice Bass), and they both played an instrumental role in the leadership of implementing Unified track & field during the 2016 track season. Additionally, Jacob and Glendon have been able to form a natural bond and friendship through the Unified offerings at Cary High School, so we wanted to begin engaging them as leaders for the Special Olympics movement. A few weeks ago, Jacob and Glendon completed the SONC Global Messenger training as a Unified pair, where they were given the skills and knowledge needed to share their experience with Special Olympics to the broader public. We are excited to share with you that Jacob and Glendon have their first speaking engagement this Thursday!
