  • We planned to send home interim reports on Friday, August 28.  However Powerschools went down on Thursday prior to everyone having them printed.  So, students should receive ALL interims by Monday, August 31st.

  • PowerSchool Login Changes

PowerSchool logins have changed for students but they remain the same for parents.  Students login using the (NCEdCloud IAM) link on our website under "Quicklinks" and parents still use the old (PowerSchool) Link in the "Quicklinks" area of our website.

  • Application Period for 2015-16 Closed

Students apply to our school by completing an online application and are ultimately selected through a randomized process much like a lottery. Our application period for the 2015-16 school year has now closed.  You can find more information about our application process here.

The Wake STEM Early College High School is a small public school of choice; a joint project between the Wake County Public School System, NC State University, and NC New Schools.  STEM is the theme of our school’s program in addition to our identity as an early college.  Early college means students take college courses at NCSU as well as the courses required to earn a high school diploma over a five year period.  Exploration of the Grand Challenges for Engineering is a common instructional focus that extends through various courses in our program.  Because engineering involves so many areas of math and science it is a great scaffold on which to build a STEM education.
