What's New?

  • Tracey Lavin, 2015-16 Teacher Assistant of the Year

My name is Tracey Lavin. I am excited to be TA of the year at PUE this year. I have worked at PUE since September 2007, working with several grade levels over the years assisting the teachers and students. I love being part of the PUE family.

I grew up in England and miss my home country, but love that Raleigh and PUE are my second home. I have lived in the USA for 18 years now and have been a US citizen since April 2011.

I attended a small elementary school in the village I grew up in and went off to a high school in the local town. After school I attended college and graduated with an early childhood degree. I have worked in the education field both here and in the UK for many years.

I am the mum of two wonderful teens who attend Wakefield High School. My daughter is lucky enough to be part of our PUE family and works in the afterschool program. She will attend college in the fall and wants to become a teacher. My son's passion is soccer. I spend a lot of my spare time at the soccer field.

My passions out of school are photography and traveling, especially to my native home visiting my family and friends there. I also enjoy the beach, mountains and socializing with friends.

At present I work in Kindergarten with Kelly Stunda on track 4. We make a great team. My hope is that as the children leave our room and head off to 1st grade we have instilled a love for learning, and that the children show kindness and respect to other at all times.
