  • Vision Screenings

    All students in grades 1, 3, and 5 will receive a vision screening by the end of October. Please make sure they are wearing any corrective eyewear during the screenings. The nurse will be in contact if there are any concerns.

    Kick Off to Kindergarten

    • Applications are now available for Project Enlightenment’s Getting Ready for Kindergarten Program. This is a free 28 week workshop series that helps families with economic need get ready for kindergarten.  Interested families must have a child who is 4 by August 31st 2016 who is not currently in preschool or childcare.

    • Information about local high schools will be shared here throughout the year. Please check back regularly!

    Winter Sports

     Intereseted 7th & 8th grade students:
    1. Signs ups for basketball are finished.
    2. Attend the Winter Sport Meeting on November 7 at 5:30p in the LRMS Cafeteria.
    3. Complete the Wake County Athletic Participation Forms (including physical) asap, but no later than November 8.
    4. Be prepared for Winter Sport Tryouts beginning November 14.
    6th Grade students can be Team Managers for LRMS sports. If interested in being a Basketball Manager please email the athletic director, Bruce Close, at and plan on attending the Winter Sports Meeting on November 7 at 5:30p in the LRMS Cafeteria.
