School Messenger from Mrs. Graf
Good evening Explorers,
Happy Tuesday to you! This is Principal Graf with a school update:
Just a reminder that our PTA Meeting is tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the Media Center. You don’t have to be a member to attend the PTA meeting so if you are interested in learning more about our PTA and the needs of our school, please come on out.
Also, tomorrow, Wednesday November 25 is a Teacher Workday. There is no school tomorrow.
Thursday and Friday of this week, November 26 & 27 we will be off for the Thanksgiving Day Holiday Break. I hope that you take the opportunity to disconnect from technology, emails, cell phones and spend some time enjoying your families.
Looking ahead to Next Week:
12/4 Character Kick Off: Students will be celebrated for demonstrating last month’s character trait and we will be introducing our new character trait for the month of December!
12/4: Interims go home! Yes, it’s time to report out on the progress of students.
Finally Explorers, I want you to you that we are working extremely hard to put into practice protocols and systems for student and staff safety. One of most important practices that is a district policy is checking in at the Front Desk. All visitors to campus including PTA Officers and regular volunteers must sign in at the Front Desk upon arriving to campus and sign out when leaving campus. Explorers, while we welcome all parents to campus, please know that we will not honor requests for conferences or to “talk with a teacher” without scheduling an appointment outside of instructional time. This practice will allow us to focus our instructional time on teaching all students and will also allow the teacher to give you the attention that your matter deserves. The Front Office will be reinforcing check in procedures over the month of December. Parents, to be clear, this policy includes the practice includes walking your child to class and/or the cafe. Please know that we value the safety and welfare of our all our students here at EGES and thank you in advance for complying with this district policy consistently.
That’s it Explorers! All of this information has been posted on the school website for your reference. Happy Thanksgiving! Mrs. Graf
Beginning in 2014, test score reports will include new information to show parents and teachers where students excel and where they may need extra help.
Help ensure your child is still at or above grade level when the new school year starts!
