Good evening Explorers,

This is Principal Graf with announcements and information for the week.  

The end of the year is only 11 days away! We are knee deep in reviewing curriculum so that our students are prepared for the end of grade assessments.  Attendance will be even more important as we are about to beginning the state end of grade tests for 3rd-5th grade.  

Important EOY Dates:

This Thursday, May 26th, tomorrow begins EOG Testing.   Please remember that during EOG testing, we do not allow any visitors in the building. We utilize every space available during EOG testing and it is important that students not be interrupted. We begin testing will continue until the end of the first week of June. We greatly appreciate all of your support but during this time we will not permit lunch bunch, classroom volunteers, and other visitors inside the building. Thank you for your understanding.

This Week:

May 26:   3rd Grade ELA EOG, 5th Grade Science EOG

May 27:  3rd Grade Math EOG, Science over 2 days

Next Week:

May 30:  Memorial Day Holiday-No School!

May 31:  4th and 5th grade ELA EOG, 3rd Grade Math over 2 days

June 1:  4th and 5th grade Math EOG

June 2 - 3rd, 4th, 5th over 2 days and makeups

June 3 - 4th and 5th over 2 days, 2nd grade Case

Looking Ahead:

June 7:  Read to Achieve Grade 3, 2nd grade Case

June 6:  Field Day Pre-K-2 AM (9:30-11:30) and Grades 3-5 (12:30-2:30)

June 8:  Awards Ceremony by invitation only (see your child’s teacher regarding classroom celebrations and awards)

June 9:  Last Day of school! 5th Grade Celebration at 10:00 a.m. in the MPR

A note about Field Day:  it is scheduled for June 6th, a Monday.  Please make certain to send your child with a water bottle and a change of clothes as the forecast is predicting warm temperatures and we will be having water activities.  You may also want to consider applying sunscreen to your child in the morning before they come to school.
