Happy Make It Happen Monday Explorers! This is Principal Graf with several announcements for the week:

Today we began our new Bag Breakfast procedures.  All students will report directly to their classrooms and breakfast will be served in the classrooms.  This will support us in beginning instruction promptly at 9:15 a.m. We will be gaining about 15-30 minutes back from waiting in the Cafe line that now will focus directly on instruction and learning!  If you have any questions about our new process please call the school.

This Week:

11/29:  Spotlight on Student Recognition

12/2: Character Kick Off Assemblies:  Courage & Early Release at 1:15 p.m. Our teachers will be learning more about the 4 C’s, Academic Language and Unpacking the Standards.

Looking Ahead to Next Week:

12/5-9, 12-14:  PTA Holiday Store

12/6:  PTA General Meeting

12/15:  EGES Holiday Performance

12/17:  Kidznotes Winter Concert 9:00 Community Breakfast & 11:00 Performance

Thank you to all parents who participated in the Jersey Mike’s Fundraiser before Thanksgiving Break!

Lastly, did you know we are communicating through multiple social media programs to keep you informed?  East Garner is tweeting out multiple times a day about learning and teaching, we have our school website and all teachers have Class Dojo!  I have started using Class Dojo and have been posting on it several times last week.  While it is not our primary method of communicating, so far we are able to reach over 300 parents and families!  Whoohoo!

If you haven’t been to school in a while, we welcome you.  East Garner is changing!  We have many school initiatives in place to grow students and our school culture.  Stop a teacher or staff member and ask us about our school improvement efforts!  We would love to share with you.

That’s it Explorers! All of this information will be placed on our school website and go out on Twitter link!

Explorer Proud, Mrs. Graf
