June 6, 2016

Good evening Explorers,

This is Principal Graf with announcements and information for the week.

We are in the last week of school! Please see important end of the year information below.

Important EOY Dates:

June 7:  Read to Achieve Grade 3, 2nd grade Case

June 6:  Field Day Pre-K-2 AM (9:30-11:30) and Grades 3-5 (12:30-2:30).  Note:  All parents must be approved volunteers in order to participate in field day.  Please call the office if you have any questions about your volunteer status.

June 8:  Awards Ceremony by invitation only (see your child’s teacher regarding classroom celebrations and awards)

June 9:  Last Day of school! 5th Grade Celebration at 10:00 a.m. in the MPR

A note about Field Day:  it is scheduled for June 6th, a Monday.  Please make certain to send your child with a water bottle and a change of clothes as the forecast is predicting warm temperatures and we will be having water activities.  You may also want to consider applying sunscreen to your child in the morning before they come to school.  All volunteers must be approved by WCPSS.  Please call the school if you have questions about your status.

That’s it Explorers!  Thank you for all that you do.  This message is already posted on our school website and will go out on Twitter.

Always Explorer Proud,

Mrs. Graf
