2017-2018 Transportation Information: The transportation department has released important information for next school year. If your child is eligible for transportation and will be riding the bus from the same address to the same school next year, you do not need to take action. If you need to update your bus service, please go online at You can find up-to-date transportation information in your student’s Home Base/PowerSchool account (see information below about Homebase/Powerschool Parent Portal). For 2017-18, WCPSS Transportation will begin using email and text messaging to provide bus service information.  Families must keep their email addresses and phone numbers current in Powerschool to receive timely and important information.

On May 15, 2017, the transportation department will begin receiving, via the web, requests from transportation eligible families for the 2017-18 school year. If your family is eligible for transportation to Timber Drive ES and you need to make a change or update your bus service, you must do so before June 9 to ensure bus service on the first day of school. Requests made after June 9 will be processed in the order they are received. Requests for bus service to an alternate address, Joint Custody arrangements, or from ineligible families will not be considered until August 8. More information about bus ridership can be found here:

Homebase/Powerschool Parent Portal:  Timber Drive Parents, we are excited to announce that student transportation information can now be found in one single location, Home Base, also known as Powerschool. In order to provide the highest level of customer service to our families we are asking those of you who do not yet have a Powerschool account to stop by the school office to complete the necessary form. You can find more information at

Once you have a Powerschool account, look for the transportation tab to see your student’s transportation status and type. If your student is a bus rider, stop and route information is also provided.

Kindergarten Registration: Families with rising Kindergarteners, if you have not done so already, please register your child as soon as possible. It is important for us to be able to plan appropriately for the 2017-2018 school year and getting all students registered will help us do that.
