Mr. Larry Peaden Jones

Mr. Jones was born and raised in North Carolina and has lived in the Raleigh area for the past eleven years. 

Mr. Jones graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Elementary Education with concentrations in Reading Education, Social Studies, and Special Education. He later received the North Carolina Principal Fellows Scholarship and returned to East Carolina to earn his M.S.A. in School Administration. He is currently working on his Ed.D. Doctor of Education in a primarily online program through the University of South Carolina.

Mr. Jones served as an administrator at Leesville Road High School in Raleigh before coming to Beaverdam Elementary. As a teacher, he spent most of his years at Zebulon Elementary in eastern Wake County where he taught 4th grade for the majority of his time. He also spent time teaching 2nd grade and as an intervention teacher at Zebulon. Before coming to Wake County, he had taught kindergarten and 4th grade.

Mr. Jones has enjoyed meeting all of the new families since the opening of Beaverdam Elementary in 2016!
