New internet filtering now active on student devices

The Board recently approved a transition to Lightspeed, a content filtering system designed specifically for K-12 schools. Implementation is now complete across all schools. As part of this update, students may notice increased restrictions on online content as the district continues to strengthen digital safety and support learning. In some cases, image searches may display blank or black boxes. This occurs when the preview image is pulled from a source that is blocked by the filtering system. This is expected behavior and helps reduce exposure to inappropriate or non-instructional content. If a student is unable to access an online resource required for class, they should notify their teacher so the item can be reviewed. Learn more
