Field Trips
Field trips enrich classroom learning by connecting students with real-world experiences related to their studies. All school-sponsored trips require prior approval for students to participate.
Lunch
When a trip overlaps with a school’s regular lunch schedule, students may bring lunch from home or request a bag lunch from the cafeteria in advance.
Payment
Many school field trips can be paid for through School Cash Online.
Transportation and Volunteer Drivers
If privately owned vehicles are used for transportation, families will be notified. The vehicle owner and the student’s parent or guardian must acknowledge in writing that the school system’s liability insurance does not cover privately owned vehicles. Volunteers who drive students must confirm that their vehicle meets the insurance requirements outlined by North Carolina law.
