Principal's Message - September 7, 2017
Posted by Elaine Hofmann on 9/7/2017
Good afternoon Spartan Families!
This is Elaine Hofmann, Principal of Salem Middle School with several quick reminders.
**First off, don’t forget that tomorrow we are having the first day of our Hurricane Harvey First Responders Donation Drive. We are partnering with our very own Officer Antonsen and the Apex Police Department to in an effort to help the police officers and other public safety responders in Houston. Many of these officers have lost everything in the hurricane but still working tirelessly to aid victims of the hurricane.
They are in need of the following items:
*New Socks *New T-Shirts *New Underwear (male and female) *Hygiene Items (soap, shampoo, razors, shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine products) *Kids clothing for the first responders children
We will be collecting tomorrow morning and afternoon in carpool as well as next Wednesday, September 13th. Students will have the opportunity to drop items off at the bus loop as well. We will also have collection bins in the front of the school for drop off any time throughout the day. Thank you so much for your support of this worthy endeavor!
**Tomorrow is Track 1’s last day! It is NOT an Early Release day but a regular school day. Here is a link to the changes in the Report Card distribution dates . Tracks 3 & 4 students should be receiving progress reports by the end of this week. All grades should be updated in PowerSchools on a weekly basis. You can create an account by coming into school and filling out a PowerSchool Parent Portal form.
Track 2, we will see you on Monday, September 11th!
