L.A. Announcements:

 

1. Children's books on Frederick Douglass are due Monday, 4/8. We will be sharing our children's books with the class as well.

 

Homework:

 

Monday, 4/1:

Today in class we discussed the rubric for our children's book over Frederick Douglass. After self-reflecting on how our books compare to the rubric, we made an action plan for improvements. We began our second draft of our children's book.

1. Finish Second Draft of children's book over Frederick Douglass.

 

Tuesday, 4/2:

Today in class we reviewed using commas with adjectives. Students received their Mid-Unit #3 assessment; part 2. Retests will be 4/3- 4/9. As students finished their second draft of their children's book over Frederick Douglass, I provided feedback.

1. Make any revisions to second draft of children's book over Frederick Douglass.

 

Wednesday, 4/3:

Today in class we wrote the Author's Note and Dedication for our children's books and formatted the pages. Students that have had their children's book reviewed by Ms. Laggenbauer began typing.

2. Book is due at the beginning of class on Monday, 4/8.

 

Thursday, 4/4:

Today in class students should be typing the final draft of their children's book. 

1. Make any revisions to second draft of children's book over Frederick Douglass.

2. Book due date has been changed to the beginning of class on Tuesday, 4/9.

 

Friday, 4/5:

Today in class students should continue to type their final draft of their children's book.
