REMINDERS & UPDATES
PowerSchool Mobile App Error Message (All School Levels)
Only PowerSchool Mobile App version 22.5.x and higher is supported for use with PowerSchool 22.11.0.0 and above. PowerSchool Mobile App versions older than 22.5.x will generate an error when attempting to connect to PowerSchool 22.11.0.0 and higher. If parent or student is on the correct version of the app and are receiving the error, they must uninstall and reinstall.
The district code is kndw.
This applies to both iPhone and android.
Course registration for 23-24
Rising 10th – 12th grade students will register for courses with their counselors during the dates of February 27 through March 24. Students must complete their Course Registration Sheet and bring it to the registration session. Detailed information regarding Course Registration for 2023-24 can be found on our Sanderson website: Course Registration Information.
ACT FOR ALL 11TH GRADE STUDENTS
Testing will take place March 8, 2023. Click to view Bell Schedule. Students will need to bring a charged Chromebook and a calculator. Questions should be directed to Greta Lumsden at mlumsden@wcpss.net
2023 AP EXAM INFORMATION
In preparation for AP Exams in May, students and families should review this information.
Students must register YES or NO for an AP exam by March 5th
This deadline includes registering for exam in course that student are not currently taking (Exam fee = $97)
UPDATES FOR CLASS OF 2023
CAP & GOWN DELIVERY
Jostens will be on campus on Friday, March 10th during lunch to deliver cap & gown units and senior products. All items must be paid for in full before students can receive their products. Online payments must be made 48 hours prior to the delivery date. Cash or money order only will be accepted on the delivery date.
MIDTOWN RALEIGH ALLIENCE SCHOLARSHIP
The Midtown Raleigh Alliance will be sponsoring their fifth Annual Midtown Community Hero Scholarship to a Sanderson senior(s). In the past we have promoted the PTO scholarship, along with the Midtown Raleigh Alliance scholarship(s). MRA will launch their scholarship on March 6th. 2023 Sanderson PTO Scholarship Information
Each year, the Sanderson PTO sponsors a scholarship competition to award $1,000 scholarships to senior applicants.
Scholarship Categories:
- Excellence Scholarship - for seniors with a weighted GPA of 4.2 & greater
- Achievement Scholarship - for seniors with a weighted GPA of 3.4 to 4.1999
- Success Scholarship - for seniors with a weighted GPA of 2.5 to 3.399
- Perseverance Scholarship - for seniors who have overcome personal adversity and wish to continue their education. GPA is NOT a factor in this scholarship.
Important Dates and Deadlines:
March 6 - Scholarship application available on PTO website
March 28 - Last day to submit scholarship applications (midnight)
May 3 - Scholarship interviews from 2:30-5:30 on Sanderson campus
May 12 - Scholarship winners announced
