RACHEL’S CHALLENGE PROGRAM

Rachel’s Challenge is a Bullying & School Violence Prevention Program based on the life of Rachel Scott, the first student killed at Columbine. On February 8, all students will attend a Rachel's Challenge assembly during one of their class periods. Rachel’s Challenge demonstrates to the listener the power of deliberately reaching out in word and action to start what Rachel called, “a chain reaction of kindness and compassion.” This program provides simple, positive actions students can take to create a positive, inclusive culture in their school. Students will be given an alternative option if they choose not to attend.

Parent Event Wednesday, February 8th 6 to 7pm, Sanderson High School Auditorium: This event is for parents to view the RachelsChallenge.org program. This evening event is open to parents, community members, and students from nearby high- and middle-schools. To make it easier for the school to plan for that evening, please RSVP

DISTRICT C PROGRAM INFORMATION FEBRUARY 8

Join Sanderson teacher Mr. Obaigbena, to hear from students, and coaches on what District C is, and how it has impacted them for the better.  Work is changing. Artificial intelligence and computers can now do much of the routine work once done by people. So, what is the uniquely human job description of the future? The stuff that computers can’t do -- leveraging the power of teams to solve complex problems.

Click on the link below and join Mr. O, SparkNC, District C Coaches, and students who have been through the program to find out how this experience impacted them and why Sanderson students should consider participating!
