UPDATES & REMINDERS
Lunch Procedures – A Message to Students
Starting in January, students will need a pass to leave the cafeteria to have lunch in the media center or teacher’s classroom. Students will need to get a pass in advance. The courtyard will be reserved for 11th/12th grade only. As a reminder, students are not allowed to be at Optimist Park during the school day.
Final Exam Chromebook Check-In
WCPSS Chromebooks will be used for final exams in January. Students should report any device issues ASAP through this link: bit.ly/SHSDeviceIssues
Fall Final Exam Schedule
All administrations of EOC and CTE assessments must be in person as required by state policy (this includes virtual academy students). If a student does not have an exam during the scheduled time, the student will not report to school for that exam block. Parents, please complete this permission form for each student to give permission to miss exam periods and help us plan for school breakfast/lunch. Any questions with the EXAM SCHEDULE should be directed to Ms. Lumsden at email@example.com.
22-23 School Assignment Information
Each year, the Office of Student Assignment prints and distributes assignment strips that are sent home with students. These assignment strips notify parents/legal custodians of a student’s school assignment for the next school year, the level of transportation the student is expected to receive, as well as a timeline of upcoming important dates.
Parents/legal custodians with a Homebase PowerSchool account: Your student will not receive a hard copy of the assignment strip. Families will be able to sign into their PowerSchool account and access this information in “Next Year Assignment”. Any parent/legal custodian that needs support with their PowerSchool account should contact their school’s data manager.
Parents/legal custodians of students in Virtual Academy (that do not have a PowerSchool Account) Your student will receive their assignment strip via the mail. Strips will be mailed out prior to the December holiday break.
Spartan Alumni Association – A Message from the Sanderson Foundation
Did you know that we have an amazing list of alumni?! You might be surprised at the wide range of talented graduates who have walked these halls since 1968! The Sanderson Foundation would love your help getting in touch with other Spartans, as we began to create our very own Sanderson Alumni Association. We hope this will be a helpful way for graduates to stay informed about reunions, events, and other important Sanderson news beyond graduation, as well to celebrate the rich alumni community of Sanderson High School. It only takes a minute for graduates to fill out this form and you are an official member of the Sanderson High School Alumni Association! Help us spread the word by sharing this link https://www.shsfoundation.org/alumn with other alumni and consider posting on your personal or Sanderson related social media sites! Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
