NCSU Schedules for Juniors and Seniors
The last day of NCSU classes is Monday, April 25th. Tuesday, April 26th and Wednesday, April 27th are reading days. Thursday, April 28th through Wednesday, May 4th are when NCSU has its final exams.
Please review the following information regarding Junior and Senior schedules during and after NCSU exams.
Juniors - Juniors will be required to attend school at STEM starting at 7:25 through 2:18. We will have a variety of different programming for students during 1st and 2nd period during this time including review for NCSU math exams. Students who are not at STEM and not taking an exam during a period will be marked as absent. On their exam day, transportation will be provided for students so they can take their NCSU exam. It is the responsibility of the student to review the shuttle bus schedule to make sure they are able to get to their exam on time. If a student has an exam outside of the school day (after 2:18), they will be responsible for their transportation. If a student/family needs help with transportation for their exam, please reach out to Dr. Ware (lware@wcpss.net). Juniors are expected to attend their afternoon high school classes every day, including the day they take their NCSU exam.
Seniors - Seniors will be required to attend school for 1st period at STEM starting at 7:25. Seniors who have a 2nd period class with Ms. Bailey will be required to attend the 2nd period class. WCPSS Career Accelerator Summer Program
Wake County Career and Technical Education is offering Summer 2022 Career Preparation and Training Opportunities at no cost to students that will provide students with a competitive edge.
The Wake County CTE Career Accelerator Summer Program will host credential bootcamps with the opportunity to sit for the credential (fee waived) upon completion.
Wake STEM will offer a 2-week Project Management bootcamp that will allow students to earn the PMI Project Ready credential.

Job Shadow Day
On May 9th, freshman and sophomores at Wake STEM will have the option to join a family member at work. On our Spring 2022 Job Shadow Day, students in grades 9 and 10 will have the option to report with a family member to work. The activity is optional but is designed to bring alive what students have learned around the College and Career Readiness Framework and employability skills. Reminders
- Notice from the UNC System Waiving Standardized Test Requirements Until 2024 Students will not be required to submit ACT or SAT test results to UNC System Colleges and Universities through the Fall of 2024.
- Booster Dose for Rising Seniors - For rising Seniors . . . a booster dose of meningococcal conjugant vaccine (MenACWY) is mandatory for students entering the 12th grade. This is to be taken care of by the first day of the 2022-2023 school year. Once your student has received their meningococcal booster vaccine, please forward the updated record of immunizations to Mimi Stidham (mstidham@wcpss.net) or drop it off at the school. Students not in compliance by September 6th will be excluded from school until documentation of the requirement is presented to the school.
- Summer Drivers Ed Registration - Summer Drivers Ed Registration is now open to all students who are interested in taking drivers education this summer. - Graduating Seniors/Super Seniors Report your Financial Aid and Scholarships Please!
We would like to know what scholarships and financial aid packages our students are receiving. Personally identifying information is not shared with anyone other than counselors. However, the scholarship totals are reported to the school district and local media. We want our students to be recognized for their hard work and success. Students please complete this form to report scholarships and financial aid.
ASAP is face-to-face and virtual Tue/Thur. On Wednesday, all tutoring is virtual. The school will close at 4:30 on Tuesday/Thursday and 4:00 on Wednesday, so all students need to be picked up by 4:30 PM on Tuesday/Thursday and 4:00 PM on Wednesday.

Horarios de NCSU para Juniors y Seniors
El último día de clases de NCSU es el lunes 25 de abril. El martes 26 y miércoles 27 de abril son días de estudiar. Del jueves 28 de abril al miércoles 4 de mayo es cuando NCSU tiene sus exámenes finales.

Programa de Verano Acelerador de Carreras de WCPSS

Día de Pasantía

Recordatorios
- Aviso del sistema UNC que renuncia a los requisitos de exámenes estandarizados hasta 2024 Los estudiantes no estarán obligados a enviar los resultados de los exámenes ACT o SAT a los colegios y universidades del sistema UNC hasta el otoño de 2024.
- Dosis de refuerzo para estudiantes del 12° grado
Para estudiantes del 12° grado. . . Una dosis de refuerzo de la vacuna meningocócica conjugada (MenACWY) es obligatoria para los estudiantes que ingresan al 12° grado. Es obligatorio conseguirla antes del primer día del año escolar 2022-2023. Una vez que su estudiante haya recibido su vacuna de refuerzo meningocócica, envíe el registro actualizado de vacunas a Mimi Stidham (mstidham@wcpss.net) o déjelo en la escuela. - Seniors / Super Seniors Reporten su ayuda financiera y becas ¡Por favor!
Nos gustaría saber de las becas y paquetes de ayuda financiera están recibiendo nuestros estudiantes. La información de identificación personal no se comparte con nadie que no sean consejeros.
